Yavanika was the first detective film in Indian cinema history.  One of the greatest screenplays in the history of Malayalam cinema.  The film was a bold step for the filmmaker KG George.  Yavanica was a mirror to the life views of the staff in the drama troupes.  The murder and subsequent investigation of the death of a tabalist as Ayyappan was a new experience for the lam.  Screenplay - KG George Conversations - SL Puram Music - MB Sreenivasan Director - KG George Bharath Gopi, Thilakan, Nedumudi Veenu, Venu Nagavally, Jagathy, Sreenivasan Ashokan and Jacob Erammali became an investigating officer.  Jalaja was the heroine.  Henry was produced under the banner of Pankaj Productions.  Songs such as Bharathamuniyoru Kalambal Varakkal and Shenbaka Pushpa ... sung by Dasettan were popular.  Yavanika was a hugely popular film while maintaining its artistic value.  Ernakulam and Thiruvananthapuram surpassed 100 days.
